Making Community Partnerships Work: A Toolkit guides the reader through a three-stage process of partnership development using a community-based, participatory approach. The toolkit provides strategies and tools, such as checklists, sample forms and case stories, that are based on lessons learned from the national and community partners involved in the Genetics Education Needs Evaluation (GENE) Project, a cooperative agreement between the March of Dimes and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Intended Audience
The toolkit will be helpful to organizations and individuals engaging new, diverse communities, particularly those that are traditionally underserved. Although it is written for those interested in public health and human services, the toolkit can be useful to individuals and groups addressing other community issues.

The print version of the toolkit and an accompanying CD-ROM are available in English and Spanish free of charge.
