Tanning lotions don't contain ultraviolet light. Research is very limited and has not proven self-tanning lotions to be safe or unsafe. But compared to the harmful UV rays of the sun, there may be little risk in faking that summer glow.
Pregnant women often have sensitive skin. They may get sunburned more easily. Skin care products may irritate the skin, even though they didn't bother the pregnant woman before pregnancy. This is why you should always test products on a small area of skin first.
